Child Support

In North Carolina, all parents must provide financial support for their children. The predominant factor in determining the amount of support to which a child is entitled is the respective incomes of the parents. Other factors include the amount of work-related child care expenses the parents pay on behalf of a child, the cost of providing health insurance for the child, and any other reasonable expenses a judge may consider necessary.

The lawyers at Wofford Law will assist you in calculating the amount of support that should be paid on your child’s behalf. Usually, child support issues are negotiated and resolved out of court, but when litigation is necessary, we will be your advocate in court to argue for support that is in the best interest of your child.
